Who we are

This website is run by Costech Academy (Coscharis Technologies Academy), part of Coscharis Technologies Limited, Coscharis Plaza, 68A Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. We decide how the information you give us here is used, which makes us its data controller.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form, plus the minimum technical information needed to run the site safely.

• School needs assessment: the school's name, address, type and size, enrolment and staff numbers, current facilities and ICT needs, budget and revenue estimates, and the contact person's name, role, phone number and email.
• Infrastructure quote request: your name, organisation, phone number, email, location and what you need installed.
• Space hire enquiry: your name, organisation, phone number, email, and the dates, headcount, room and setup you want.
• Course interest: the subjects you choose, whether it is for you or a team, your preferred times and format, your name, phone number and email, and any notes you add.
• Webinar list: your role, the topics you are interested in, your name, your WhatsApp number, and your email and organisation if you give them.
• Contact form: the topic, your name, contact details and your message.
• Technical information: when you send a form we record the type of browser you used. Your internet (IP) address is held in memory for up to ten minutes to stop automated abuse, and is not stored with your form.

We do not ask for bank details, identity numbers or passwords anywhere on this site.

Why we use it

We use your information only for the reason you gave it to us:

• to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote or proposal, or check room availability (to take steps you asked for before any agreement);
• to contact you when a class you are interested in is formed, or when a webinar date is set (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time);
• to keep the site secure and stop spam (our legitimate interest in running a safe service).

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Your information is seen only by the Costech team that handles your request. We use a small number of service providers to run the site, each acting on our instructions only:

• Vercel, which hosts the website;
• Neon, which stores form submissions in a database;
• Resend, which sends our email replies and confirmations;
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there or join the webinar list.

For a school that chooses financing, we share the details needed with the financing partner only after you agree to proceed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Nigeria

Some of these providers store or process information outside Nigeria, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows, such as the provider's contractual commitments to protect your information.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Every form submission is encrypted before it is stored, and only authorised Costech staff can read it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries, quote requests, space hire enquiries and course interest: up to two years after our last contact with you.
• School needs assessments: up to two years, or for as long as a partnership with the school lasts and any period the law then requires.
• Webinar list: until you leave the list.
• If you become a client, the records of that work are kept for as long as the law requires.

After that, we delete the information or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information, or stop using it;
• send your information to you or another organisation in a common format;
• stop contacting you, at any time. On WhatsApp, reply STOP.

Email info@costechacademy.com with your request. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

Children

Our services for schools are arranged with school staff and proprietors, not with pupils. If you are under 18 and want to join a webinar, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up with you.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we update this page and the date at the top.
